CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — Charges are pending against a woman after a 14-year-old died in a crash in Claiborne County Sunday night, a Tennessee Highway Patrol preliminary report showed.

The report showed that Tiffany Parker, 35, from Tennessee was driving north on Welch Road just outside of Tazewell when her Ford F-150 ran off the road and hit a tree, causing it to overturn. The woman was injured and the 14-year-old passenger died. Neither were wearing their seatbelts, according to THP.

The preliminary report lists charges as pending against Parker.
