Championship duo Derby County and Millwall are believed to have expressed interest in signing Middlesbrough midfielder Dan Barlaser.

Boro are open to a sale of the midfielder who is in the final year of his contract this season and is down the pecking order in Rob Edwards’ plans. Though nothing is yet understood to have been agreed with either club, both have shown interest and could make moves for the 28-year-old on the final day of the window.

Boro have started the new season in fine form, with Hayden Hackney and Aidan Morris establishing themselves as one of the top midfield partnerships in the Championship. Having also signed Abdoulaye Kante and Sverre Nypan this summer, Boro are well-stocked in midfield.
