CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — Pharaoh’s Gentlemen’s Club on Aero Drive in Cheektowaga has closed after 20 years in business leaving 60 employees out of work.

According to owner Peter Gerace, he was unable to renew or extend the liquor license for Pharaoh’s following his conviction on several federal criminal charges.

Gerace was convicted of drug trafficking, sex trafficking, and using Pharaoh’s a drug-involved premises during a trial which concluded late last year.

The liquor license for Pharaoh’s was due to expire on Monday and employees were informed of the decision to close on Sunday night.

Gerace, who is being held at the Cattaraugus County jail pending his sentencing on October 31, told WGRZ-TV that the club may re-open under new ownership within a few weeks.
