GILBERT, AZ (AZFamily) — A drone that the Higley Football team has used the last few years during practices is gone with the wind after a recent monsoon storm.

On Aug. 21, the drone was in the air to film the freshmen-JV scrimmage when the storm rolled through.

“We were in the middle of the scrimmage and one of our kickers came up to me and they’re like, ‘Coach, the drone is gone’. I said, ‘What do you mean the drone is gone? Where is it?’ And he looked up and he goes, ‘I don’t know where it is. The wind just came and took it, and it’s gone,’ and then he showed me the remote, and on the remote it showed out of distance, and then it was gone,” said head coach Eddy Zubey .
