House fire breaks out early morning on Bismark Ave and Stone Street

SPOKANE, Wash. - A house fire broke out early Monday morning on East Bismark Avenue and Stone Street.

The homeowners and their dog had already evacuated by the time Spokane Fire Department (SFD) arrived on scene.

SFD told NonStop Local the fire began in the attic due to an overloaded branch circuit.

Neighbors said the house was the childhood home of the man who lives there, and they've offered the family a safe place to stay.
