The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce will recognize longtime business leader and community volunteer Larry Hilworth with an Honourary Life Membership.

Hilworth will be formally inducted at the Member Appreciation event at Tapps Sports Lounge & Grill on Sept. 16.

Hilworth built his reputation as a business owner and through his role with the Farming for Health project, which raises money for The Health Foundation of East Central Saskatchewan.

He also served as president of the Chamber in 1998 and remained active with the organization in the years that followed.

Honourary Life Memberships are given to people who have “distinguished themselves by meritorious or public service.”

Recipients receive all the privileges of active members and are exempt from paying dues.
