MINGO JUNCTION, Ohio — Two children younger than 13 are facing charges in Jefferson County’s juvenile justice system after they were accused of vandalizing several vehicles and a home, the Herald-Star reported.
Village Police Chief Willie McKenzie told the newspaper that security camera footage tied the juveniles to damage that included broken windows on five vehicles and one residence. He said pieces of asphalt were used to shatter the glass and that he has been asked to submit an estimate of damages for possible restitution, the Herald-Star reported.
The case remains pending. The juveniles were initially held in juvenile detention for two weeks before being placed on house arrest, according to the report.
