STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (WTRF) — On this Labor Day, while many businesses were closed, one place in Steubenville made sure its doors stayed open.
7News reporter Alex Taylor shows us how the friendship room continues to serve some of the community's most vulnerable, no matter the day.
The house on Logan Street in Steubenville with the blue door… never closes. Not on Christmas, not on Easter, not on government holidays like today.
Why? Because the people coming here may not even have their own doors to open.
For years, the Friendship Room has been a lifeline for those who are homeless, battling addiction, or struggling to make ends meet in Jefferson County.
They provide clothing, food, and other essentials, meeting people's immediate and sometimes critical needs.
It’s not only important to
