A Franklin man was killed in a hit and run crash near the intersection of US 31 and East County Line Road early Sunday morning.

The Johnson County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who was fatally struck as Brian K. Taulman, 61.

The crash occurred at approximately 1:41 a.m. in the 8800 block of US 31 South.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Southeast District say Taulman was a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle.

The crash is under investigation and no further information has been released.
