KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The Kansas City Police Department is looking for leads on a Saturday night homicide.

Officers were dispatched to 52nd Street and Euclid Avenue around 10:15 p.m. on August 30 when neighbors reported hearing gunshots.

Once there, officers found a woman with gunshot wounds who paramedics declared dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released.

KCPD homicide detectives do not have anyone in custody and are unsure if the shots were fired by someone on foot or driving by. An investigation is underway as they search the area for any possible evidence or witnesses.
