DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Hundreds of thousands of workers and community members across the country, including in Durham, joined together this Labor Day to demand “workers over billionaires.”
On Monday morning, hundreds marched down Trinity Avenue and around Duke University's campus.
The event was one of a thousand across the country with a goal of rejecting what they're calling the billionaire takeover of government. It is an ongoing effort from organizers who have put together national rallies such as Hands Off, No King's Day, May Day and Good Trouble. • Hundreds gather for "Workers Over Billionaires" rally in Durham (Brea Hollingsworth/CBS 17) • Hundreds gather for "Workers Over Billionaires" rally in Durham (Brea Hollingsworth/CBS 17) • Hundreds gather for "Workers Over Billionaire
