Chatham’s Bridget Carleton and the Minnesota Lynx have clinched home court for the WNBA playoffs.

The Lynx secured the regular-season title Saturday with a 94-70 win over the Connecticut Sun in Uncasville, Conn.

Carleton had four rebounds, one assist and one steal. She was scoreless on 0-for-2 shooting, but her plus-minus rating of plus-23 tied for the Lynx lead.

The Lynx (31-8) set a franchise record for wins in a season.

They had a 5.5-game lead over the second-place Las Vegas Aces going into Monday’s game against the Dallas Wings in Minneapolis.

Associate coach Derek Whitson of Chatham won a silver medal Sunday as Canada lost to the United States 7-1 at the inaugural para hockey women’s world championship in Dolny Kubin, Slovakia.
