NEW YORK, N.Y. — This October, the Children’s Museum of Manhattan (CMOM) is inviting families to explore the magic all around them with its month-long celebration, “Hocus Focus: Magic, Memory, and Make Believe!”
The program brings together cultural traditions, performances, and hands-on art making, offering children of all ages opportunities to learn, create, and celebrate.
The museum’s October lineup is packed with exciting events. Kicking off the month, CMOM will observe Yom Kippur with activities, such as reflection jars, where children decorate jars with messages or reminders to pause and reflect, and Tzedakah boxes, inspired by the tradition of giving.
Latinx Heritage Week (Oct. 3–10) highlights music, art, and social justice. Families can enjoy performances like “Cumbia Fest Jr.
