HOUSTON (KIAH) — Four Houston-area teams are in the top 10 in Class 6A after the first week of the 2025 Texas high school football season.

Summer Creek, Ridge Point and Atascocita are ranked sixth through eighth, respectively, in the Week 2 poll for 6A. Dickinson, who pulled out a 34-21 upset win over Katy, climbs six spots to No. 10.

Southlake Carroll takes up the top spot, followed by North Crowley and Duncanville. Allen and Lake Travis make up the rest of the top five.

Other Houston-area teams ranked include No. 12 Pearland and No. 13 The Woodlands. Katy dropped to No. 17 after its loss to Dickinson. Bridgeland is No. 20 and Katy Jordan is No. 21.
