Tempe Community Action Agency sees more than 100 households in need every day.

Hot weather leads to increased utility costs, and some families need assistance now more than ever. National Food Bank Day will work to help more Tempe families get through the rest of the month.

September is National Hunger Action Month, and Carrie Aranda and the rest of the team at TCAA hopes to keep serving families in need as much as possible.

“If you already live paycheck to paycheck the summer can be harder to handle,” said Aranda, director of mission advancement at TCAA
