The New Orleans Saints had two open practice squad spots entering Monday.
They've now filled one of them.
The Saints signed undrafted rookie defensive lineman Coziah Izzard to the practice squad, coach Kellen Moore said. Izzard, 24, spent the summer with the Kansas City Chiefs and played college football at Penn State.
Izzard, 24, is listed at 6-foot-3 and 294 pounds. He played defensive tackle in college, appearing in 50 games with seven career starts, 78 tackles and nine sacks.
The Saints added another defensive lineman after minor injuries up front. Khristian Boyd, who made the 53-man roster, is dealing with a hand injury after getting hurt in New Orleans' final preseason game against the Denver Broncos. John Ridgeway also landed on injured reserve with a pec injury, though he's e
