Florida football put forth a solid first outing in a 55-0 shutout of FCS opponent Long Island on Aug. 30 at The Swamp.

But the challenge will get tougher on Sept. 6 when the No. 17 Florida Gators (1-0) host USF (1-0) at The Swamp (4:15 p.m., SEC Network).

Certainly, USF has UF's attention after a season-opening 34-7 upset of No. 25 Boise State in which the Bulls forced three turnovers and held the Broncos to 378 yards. USF is coached by former Tennessee assistant coach Alex Golesh, who is 15-12 with two bowl wins entering his third season.
