Dele Alli has left Como with his contract being terminated.

The 29-year-old departs the Serie A side after just eight months in Italy.

During that time, Alli only made one appearance under Cesc Fabregas last season.

However, his cameo off the bench against AC Milan in March ended after just nine minutes as he was shown a straight red card.

Despite being named on the bench multiple times during the final weeks of the campaign he failed to make another appearance.

Reports earlier in the summer claimed Alli was no longer in Fabregas' plans at Como.

They have now been confirmed as the former England international leaves the club with ten months remaining on his deal.

A joint statement from Alli and Como read: "Como 1907 and Dele Alli have agreed to a mutual termination of his contract
