BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football coach Curt Cignetti said Monday that safety Bryson Bonds suffered a season-ending knee injury in a 27-14 win over Old Dominion .

Bonds was seen on the sidelines in the second half on crutches.

While Bonds was a limited contributor on defense throughout his career for the Hoosiers , he gave the team some much-needed depth at the position this year with Louis Moore’s status beyond Week 2 up in the air and freshman Byron Baldwin Jr. also dealing with an undisclosed injury that sidelined him for the season opener.
