MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Former Memphis-Shelby County Schools superintendent Dr. Marie Feagins moderated a civic summit on 901 Day.

901 Day is a day meant for culture, community, and conversation.

Dr. Feagins said it’s an opportunity for Memphians to engage with community leaders and familiarize themselves with the candidates who are running in next year’s election.

“It’s time now to bring us all together, to move us forward as a community to have the types of neighborhoods that we want to create safer streets that we want, to have the type of schools that we want, to have the model education that we need to lower the crime that we’re calling for,” said Dr. Feagins.
