North Omaha standoff ends with arrest, no injuries reported.

A scary moment unfolded in North Omaha on Sunday afternoon as Omaha police were involved in a standoff that lasted more than five hours.

Police said Clarence Thomas was booked into jail for several charges, including hit-and-run and leaving the scene of an accident.

Power outage in South Omaha

The Omaha Public Power District reports that a power outage in South Omaha was caused by a tree making contact with a power line.

The outage stretched from 9th to 36th Streets and from Leavenworth to Grover Street, affecting more than 2,400 customers.
