OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - One person was arrested and an OPD cruiser was damaged as a result of an incident near Midtown Omaha early Sunday morning.

Omaha Police tell First Alert 6 that an officer saw a fight occurring on the corner of 39th and Farnam streets just after midnight Sunday morning.

OPD says that once the officer responded to the fight, a man involved pointed a handgun at the group of men attacking him.

The officer told the man to put his gun down, and the man complied. Once more officers responded to the scene, the crowd dispersed.

One man, identified as Seyvon Barnes, refused to follow orders and fled the scene. Barnes was then detained without further incident, and booked for disorderly conduct.
