AUSTIN, Tex. (KGNS) - More than 800 new laws went into effect in Texas on Monday, September 1, reshaping education, governance, and culture across the state.
According to reporting from The Texas Tribune, the new laws include one of the largest school voucher programs in the nation, allowing parents to use taxpayer funds to pay for private school tuition.
