NORWALK, Conn. (WFSB) - A traffic stop in Norwalk led to the arrest of a 51-year-old man.

On August 31st, Norwalk police say they had an officer conducting motor vehicle enforcement in the area of West Avenue.

While patrolling the area, the officer saw 51-year-old Romell Fisher driving a car.

Norwalk police say this officer was familiar with Fisher from previous drug arrests and knew he did not have a license.

The officer then initiated a traffic stop.

“During the stop, Norwalk Police Service Dog Raza was deployed and indicated to the presence of a narcotic odor coming from the vehicle,” police said.

After searching the car, police found marijuana, 9 baggies containing cocaine, and a small bag containing two ecstasy pills. Officers also seized $166.00.
