CHAPEL HILL — Michael Jordan's "Jumpman" logo is everywhere in Chapel Hill and beyond.

Jordan, the man himself, was back at North Carolina on Monday, Sept. 1, to attend UNC football's season opener and Bill Belichick's debut as head coach of the Tar Heels . No. 23 was among the celebrities roaming Kenan Stadium to kick off the 2025 season.

Lawrence Taylor , who played for UNC's last ACC championship team in 1980 and won two Super Bowl titles alongside Belichick with the New York Giants, was also at Kenan Stadium and mingled with fans on Franklin Street prior to kickoff.
