HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WEVV) — A potential development emerged in the cold case of Heather Teague, who disappeared in 1995.

Teague was last seen on Newburgh Beach 30 years ago.

Crews have been excavating behind Cageys Store on Highway 811 near Reed.

Kentucky State Police said no one on the scene could identify whether the fragments were human.

The bones are set to be sent to medical examiners in Louisville to determine their origin.
