It was the kind of game a head coach dreams about, with the offense scoring points and the defense allowing the opponent almost nothing.

But there were still things head coach James Dockery saw in Xavier Prep's 31-0 high school football win over Desert Hot Springs that he'd like to change as the season progresses.

"We know that Desert Hot Springs is a proud program. They have been to the playoffs the last couple of years. They have a lot of tough kids up here," Dockery said. "We have to clean up the penalties for sure. Everybody knows that that amount of penalties will catch up to us. We aren't going to harp on it, but we are going to approach it in practice."
