SHAWNEETOWN — For years, Erin Rochford had lived what appeared to be an everyday life. She was a mother who worked various jobs and even volunteered at her children’s school. But behind that picture was a battle she fought for more than 25 years.

“I spent over 25 years of my life in addiction and with one substance or another,” Rochford said. “From the outside looking in, things were okay. But I was numbing all that pressure with substances and just barely hanging on.”
