Minneapolis Police say vandals broke into at least 22 vehicles overnight, part of a crime spree that has persisted now for months.
The damaged vehicles were found in three different locations along Interstate 35W just north of MSP Airport, including off Fremont Avenue South.
"It’s frustrating because people just let it happen and I will not let it happen," said Jonathan Zylstra, who has lived off the street for more than 20 years. "I don’t know what I can do, but a flashlight works wonders if they just shine it on them."
Police say that seven vehicles were hit on Fremont Avenue. A news release also listed Belmont Avenue South and 26th Avenue South, where a total of 15 other vehicles were damaged.
