Cameras caught a New York Mets fan stealing a ball from a senior during a home game against the Miami Marlins, then proceeding to act like a jerk about it.

Last week, a video went viral of a grown man stealing a hat worn by tennis star Kamil Majchrzak that was intended for a young fan at the 2025 US Open. Majchrzak took the time to interact with fans and tried to hand his hat over to a young boy, but the poorly mannered adult fan snatched it for himself and refused to give it to the distraught kid.

The adult was later identified as Polish millionaire Piotr Szczerek, who offered an apology in a statement shared on social media. Per the Associated Press, Majchrzak later met with the boy who had the cap stolen from him and gave him another hat to make up for Szczerek’s selfish act.
