INDIANAPOLIS — Attorneys in the Delphi murders case want more time to put together their case for an appeal of Richard Allen's conviction.

Allen was convicted last November for the February 2017 murders of Libby German and Abby Williams near the Monon High Bridge in Delphi. A month later, he was sentenced to serve 130 years in prison for the crimes.

His appeal in the case is due next week. Allen's attorneys say there's so much information and evidence to go through and they've only been able to talk to their client once.

The request for an extension also notes the attorneys are dealing with Allen's transfer to a prison in Oklahoma . Online court records show Allen was transferred to Oklahoma from the Pendleton Correctional Facility in Indiana in July.
