With plans for its anchor hospital recently made public, a sizable mixed-use development in western Chesterfield is beginning to show additional signs of momentum.

A rezoning request was filed earlier to tee up Nunnally Village, a 200-acre project at the intersection of Hull Street and Otterdale roads from local developer Ed Nunnally and Henrico-based private equity and real estate firm Markel | Eagle Partners.

Ricky Core, a principal at Markel | Eagle, said the project’s commercial square footage and residential unit count were still being finalized, but discussions were underway with a range of potential users, including grocery stores, medical providers, fitness centers and local and out-of-town restaurants.
