The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is two days away and the battle for the remaining tickets is officially on.

There will be nearly 300 new features at the festival's 50th year, when movie-lovers and superstars will fill theatres from Sept. 4 to 14.

TIFF members — especially those on the higher tiers — got early ticket access, starting Aug. 15, while sales opened to the public 10 days later.

From standing in the rush line, monitoring online forums or re-selling extra tickets to offset costs, here's what some Torontonians are doing to secure those sought-after seats.
