HOUSTON (KIAH) — Police are investigating the discovery of skeletal remains found in a field in southwest Houston on Monday.

The remains were found at the 12800 block of Bissonnet Street in Alief on Monday afternoon. The identity of the remains is not known until after autopsy results.

There is no word on the gender of the person or the cause of death.
