Dan Barlaser completed a late Middlesbrough exit on transfer deadline day, joining Hibernian on loan.
With the midfielder in the final year of his contract and well down the pecking order on Teesside, Boro spent much of transfer deadline day trying to get the 28-year-old out the door.
There was interest from Derby County and Millwall which ultimately didn't materialise in a move before Monday's 7 pm deadline. But Boro were then able to take advantage of Scotland's decision to keep their window open until 11 pm in order to secure the move for Barlaser.
He completed his move to the Scottish Premiership side before the deadline, with the deal announced at 11.45 am on Tuesday, as the two clubs awaited news on if the deal had gone through in time to be ratified by the SPFL.
