Week 1 of the college football season brought mixed results for the Big 12 Conference .

No. 11 Arizona State will remain the top-ranked team in the conference following a 38-19 win over Northern Arizona, while No. 21 Iowa State earned a 55-7 victory over South Dakota State. The Cyclones are off to a 2-0 start following a Week 0 win over No. 20 Kansas State in Dublin.

Elsewhere, No. 23 BYU dominated Portland State with a 69-0 shutout, while No. 24 Texas Tech picked up a 67-7 win over Arkansas Pine-Bluff. The Wildcats needed a last-second touchdown to avoid a major upset at the hands of South Dakota, winning 38-35. KSU will likely fall out of the rankings.
