Five people inside a Mustang were ejected from their seats Monday night after the car they were in crashed during a street race along Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe police said.
The crash between the Mustang and a motorcycle took place about 8:30 p.m. Sept. 1 when both vehicles were headed west along Rio Salado.
The car’s driver failed to negotiate a turn, and the collision occurred east of Rural Road, police said.
All five occupants of the car were taken to a hospital and are in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries, police said. The rider of the motorcycle returned to the scene.
