TOWN OF MANLIUS, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- Many kids drag their feet when it comes time to head back to school, but for two sixth graders in the East Syracuse Minoa School District, the first day of school couldn't come soon enough.
"Summer's been a little too long," Lila Davis said.
Lila and her friend, Josie Bomasteo, are bringing their passion for STEM back to school with them.
"That's really fun because there's a lot of hands-on work and there's a lot of problem solving, and it's frustrating, but when you get the end result, it's really fun to see we did that!" Lila shared.
The pair spent a lot of their time in elementary school in what they call "The Fabby Lab", learning from their teacher Christy Fahey.
