Thatchers gives away free cider to mark its earliest ever harvest
Thatchers Cider has embarked on it its earliest ever apple harvest in the brand’s 121-year history, after the Met Office said s ummer 2025 was the UK’s warmest on record. The mean average temperature across June, July and August was a provisional 16.1C, beating the previous seasonal high of 15.76C set in 2018.
It comes just months after the UK experienced the warmest and sunniest spring since data began. Thatchers is giving away free pints at pubs in iconic locations, from Lands End to the Lake District and the Peak District to the New Forest.
From 1 September 2025, anyone finishing an adventure at participating scenic pubs across the UK can enjoy a complimentary pint of Juicy Apple if they ask for a ‘Wild Pint’.
