Nate Hayward has been appointed St. Louis commissioner of corrections after serving as deputy director of security at St. Louis County Justice Services.
Hayward has 32 years of correctional experience, beginning as a correctional officer. He oversaw the daily operations of the County Justice Center and was responsible for the safety and health of detainees.
