Dakari Bradford’s sophomore season ended when he suffered a broken leg during a game.

And he struggled to hit his stride his junior season.

But this offseason, something clicked for the Heritage receiver, and head coach Kevin Peterson sees Braford as one of the team’s inspirational stories.

“He spent of lot of time this offseason working on his game,” Peterson said. “He played with E-Force out of Portland for 7-on-7s. He came back this spring as new guy. I mean, just his route-running, his hands, everything just dramatically improved.”

Bradford’s game improved so much that it caught the attention of coaches at Western Oregon University, who made an offer to the receiver while Heritage was there for team camp in June.
