Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) has begun preparations for a new hospital, a month after the Ontario government approved $12.5 million to support the planning and construction of the facility.
On Tuesday, BCHS launched a survey to hear from people living in Brant County aimed to get to know what they want out of the new hospital.
The BCHS board has also appointed a task force — chaired by retired hospital executive Don Shilton — to identify a site for the new hospital. The task force held its first meeting in August.
"This is really the community's opportunity to have their say in the location of the new hospital," Shilton told CBC Hamilton about the survey.
