The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a serious injury crash that happened late Monday afternoon in Pontiac, involving a 2018 Buick Regal and a 2005 Suzuki GSX motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, a 31-year-old Pontiac resident, was hospitalized in critical condition as of Tuesday morning. The Regal’s driver, a 54-year-old Pontiac resident, was also hurt but his injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening, the sheriff’s office said.
The collision occurred at around 5 p.m. Sept. 1 at the intersection of Huron and Chippewa streets. Deputies and other first responders found the motorcyclist lying in the roadway with severe injuries. Both the motorcyclist and the driver of the Buick were transported by Star EMS to McLaren Oakland Hospital.
