PERSHING COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) - A Burning Man attendee has been arrested on charges of being a felon in possession of firearms and drug charges.

Just after 2:00 a.m. Monday, deputies with the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Michael Olney for a permit violation in the area of the Espalande.

Police say that a search of the car uncovered two guns and large quantities of illicit substances, as well as items intended for the sale and distribution of drugs.

Olney has now been charged with two counts of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, selling or transporting a controlled substance, trafficking a controlled substance over 100 grams, and manufacturing or possessing a dangerous weapon.

His bail was set at $92,500.
