BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- Deputies are looking for a work release inmate who walked off the job site at Deltak Manufacturing in Walker Tuesday morning.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office identified the man as Christopher Samuel, an East Feliciana Parish work release inmate. He is described as five feet four inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. He was seen dressed in a black sweatshirt with a grey T-shirt underneath, jeans and a black skull cap.

The East Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office said Samuel, of Ruston, was convicted of aggravated battery in Lincoln Parish. His release date is Sept. 6, 2028. Deputies said a warrant for simple escape is being secured.
