ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions announced their six team captains, featuring five repeats and one new face joining the mix.

Their captains are quarterback Jared Goff, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, offensive tackle Penei Sewell, linebacker Alex Anzalone, edge defender Aidan Hutchinson and linebacker/special teamer Grant Stuard.

Goff, St. Brown, Hutchinson, Sewell and Anzalone were all captains last season. Goff and Anzalone have been team-voted captains for all five seasons since Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes took over. This is the third straight year for Anzalone and Sewell, with Hutchinson’s second time getting this honor.

Stuard signed as a free agent with the Lions earlier this year. He has immediately left his mark on the special teams unit while doing a little bit of everything,
