Hundreds of "illegal" vapes and tobacco items, and some "dangerous" soft toys, have been seized in Leicestershire . Leicestershire Police worked with Leicestershire County Council 's Trading Standards service to track down “illegal and potentially dangerous” products in the Wigston area.

More than 500 packets of cigarettes were seized, as well as between 200 and 300 vapes, said a council spokesperson. Four soft toys that “failed to meet safety regulations” were also taken in the operation because they could present a “choking hazard” as well as pose other dangers to children, they added.
