SEBRING, Ohio (WKBN) - A local community will soon get new water meters for residential customers.
Five projects in Ohio will share in $7.2 million provided by the state in the form of low-interest loans, including Sebring.
The interest rate on the loans ranges from 1.75% to 5.08%.
Sebring is getting $1.2 million at 1.75% over 20 years to install water meters throughout the village, replacing ones that have exceeded their useful life.
Officials with the village said the work will start in about one month and should take about six months to complete.
Commercial and industrial meters have already been changed.
