PARAGON, Ind. — A Martinsville man has been arrested after a man was shot at a bar in Paragon, Indiana, over the weekend.

The 35-year-old suspect, who had not been formally charged as of Sept. 2, faces preliminary charges of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, battery with a deadly weapon and pointing a loaded firearm.

The incident was reported around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31 at a bar and grill near State Road 67 and Paragon Road . The Morgan County Sheriff's Office said responding deputies found a man who had been shot had already been taken from the scene to a nearby hospital by a personal car.
