The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is asking for the public’s help in locating a male whole escaped from the Stan Daniels Healing Centre this weekend.

At approximately 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, Correctional Services Canada reported that 21-year-old Tyrrel Bigchild escaped from the Stan Daniels Healing Centre during an escorted temporary absence. Bigchild was reportedly last seen in the area of 106 Street and Kingsway Avenue.

Tyrrel Bigchild is serving a two-year nine-month sentence for multiple offences, including robbery and assault with a weapon. There is now a Canada-wide warrant out for his arrest for being unlawfully at large.

Bigchild is described as 5’8″ tall and weighing approximately 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white hoodie, white t-shirt, black pants, black shoe
